Just Say “No” to Antibiotics
A Wall St. Journal (2/05/03) report on the growing reluctance of doctors to prescribe antibiotics, is just one of many such articles that we've been seeing over the past couple of years. The common threads that run through all of these reports are 1) “overuse can create resistance to future antibiotic treatments,” and 2) antibiotics interfere with the child own natural immune response, perhaps making the child susceptible to repeated infection.
