Meet
the EARnimals
A family of whimsical, cartoon faces
that attach to otoscopes and help make ear exams less scary for
kids. Birds, frogs, mice, even fish become part of the device
so that theinstrument's pointed tip looks like an elephant's
trunk, or an animal's nose or beak. EARnimals transform an alarming
medical instrument into a friendly puppet-like creature.
EARnimal Training
We train EARnimals to help give gentle, painless and non-threatening ear exams.
We teach them to befriendly, curious about ears, and soothing to frightened
children. And we exercise them, too, using our line of lightweight, inexpensive
otoscopes/Earscopes. And when they are done exercising, EARnimals like toplay
as finger puppets.
A Fond Attachment
EARnimals have evolved into three species to fit most otoscopes:
Small
Hole EARnimals, Medium
Hole EARnimals, and Large
Hole EARnimals.
Each species prefers different otoscopes and becomes upset if not
properly attached.
- Small: for most common disposable tip otoscopes including Notoco's
model #1205
Hole size: 5/8" (15.8mm)
- Medium: for Notoco model #1202
Hole size: 41/64" (16.2mm)
- Large: for most operating otoscopes
Hole size: 15/16" (23.8mm)
